Services FAQ

Where is the clinic located and is there parking available?

Our clinic, Bianstone Therapy and Acupuncture, is located at 42 Oakwood Avenue, Audenshaw, M34 5LE. We are situated in a convenient residential area, making it easy for local patients to access professional care for chronic pain and sports injuries.

Is there a risk of infection from the treatment?

Acupuncture is generally considered safe for most people when performed by a licensed professional. Mr. Ip uses only single-use, sterile needles to eliminate the risk of infection. For immunocompromised individuals, he takes extra precautions or may recommend non-invasive therapies like Bianstone massage.

I’ve tried other treatments for my back pain and nothing worked. How is this different?

Most treatments focus only on the symptom. Mr. Ip’s 4-in-1 protocol starts with a biomechanical inspection to find the root cause (like a hip imbalance). We then use heated Bianstone to relax the tissue before acupuncture, making the treatment more effective for chronic cases that haven’t responded elsewhere.

What is the price range for the services?

We believe in fair and professional pricing. Depending on the specific therapies included in your session, the price range is typically between £40 to £60

Treatment FAQ

I still feel sore after my treatment. Is this normal?

Yes, it is perfectly normal. Some patients experience mild side effects such as soreness, minor bruising, or a “heavy” feeling at the treatment site. This is often a sign that the muscles are beginning to adjust and recover; many patients find that while they feel sore after the first session, they experience significantly better movement and less pain by the follow-up treatment.

Is acupuncture safe? If I have a pre-existing medical condition, and how do I know if it’s right for me?

Acupuncture is generally considered safe for most people when performed by a qualified, licensed practitioner using single-use, sterile needles. However, we prioritize your safety through a detailed inspection and medical history review before any treatment begins. If you have conditions such as a pacemaker, bleeding disorders, or are currently pregnant, Mr. Yip will carefully adjust the treatment or recommend our needle-free alternatives. This ensures that whether we are treating a sports injury or chronic tension, your recovery is both low-risk and highly effective.

What should I do if my pain persists or if I don’t feel better after my session?

It is common for some chronic conditions to require a few days for the body to fully process the treatment and begin the healing phase. However, your recovery is our priority even after you leave the clinic. If your pain persists or if you have any concerns after your session, please reach out to us directly via WhatsApp. Mr. Ip monitors these messages personally and will respond accordingly to provide further advice or adjust your follow-up care plan.

What exactly happens during a treatment session with Mr. Ip?

We believe in a personalized approach rather than a “one-size-fits-all” solution. Your session follows a structured, three-step journey to ensure both safety and effectiveness:

Step 1: Comprehensive Body and Posture Inspection

Step 2: Deep Tissue Preparation with Heated Bianstone

Step 3: Targeted Pain Relief through Expert, Licensed Techniques
